God's Armor

higher I say to the captian in front, bring me to ocean's shore

here I am in my flying ship across the skies I soar

Raise the sails oh captian my captian faster we must go

for beasts and demons and dangerous things wait for us below

bring me my sword and bring me my gun and bring me my shining shield

over the mountains across the land we enter the blood soaked field

into the battle weapons in hand I charge valiantly

my voice is as a thousand canons blasting the heavens ferociously

i'll kill you all you evil fiends i'll tear you down violently

just as I strike I then awake in my bed I lay

what is this only a dream the image begins to gray

I ready for school and I ready for work and realize life is not much different

day after day demons do come and monsters are slowly lurking

from the shadows they plot their evil design this plan they all are working

I can see it now in the darkness it hides waiting for the perfect moment

it watches and waits with bloodshot eyes anticipating the coming instant

I ready gods sword and I ready gods gun and I ready gods shining shield

the lord by my side they'll run and they'll hide in fear of the power I wield

into night they scream and they flee to hells gates the temptations subside

thankyou lord for the caring heart and the strength to avoid the perilous slide

your armor i'll wear showing the world the joy you can give graciously

and in a few years when the time is right my children i'll give it lovingly
